Information: | Thomas is believed to have been born c.1891. He married Mary Hanley (or Handly) on the 18 Dec 1912 in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim. Thomas and Mary had one son, Thomas Patrick, born 29 March 1916 in Longford. During his war time service, Thomas became ill with a number of conditions, the most significant of which was neurasthenia, similar to Myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS), which was attributed to his service. Thomas died as a result of this condition in January 1915, while the family were living on Chapel St. in Longford. |
