Information: | Patrick was born c.1885, to parents Patrick and Kate Early of Barrack Street Granard. Pte. Earely enlisted at Brecon, Wales. He was stationed at Bordon as part of the 3rd Brigade of the 1st Division in August 1914. By the 13 August the battalion had mobilised for war and landed at Le Havre and engaged in various actions on the Western Front. It is possible that Patrick was killed as a result of light shelling in the early hours of 23 Jan; he was aged 30 years. |
