| Information: | Thomas Egan was born in Ballymahon on 17 March 1901. He enlisted in the Officer Cadet Battalion initially in 1917 as a drummer boy and again at Athlone in September 1919. He was discharged in January 1920 as being no longer physically fit for war service. |
