Information: | Luke was born in Ballymahon on 24 April 1889. He emigrated to the U.S. and enlisted there in January 1915. He was promoted to corporal in 1915 and to sergeant in 1916. He served overseas from May 1918 to January 1919. He was discharged from the army in 1920. Afterwards, he married Katherine and had daughters, Dorothy and Anna. He worked in New Jersey as a fireman and later as a policeman. |
