Information: | James was probably born in Cluntymullan, near Lenamore/Legan on 21 August 1891, son of James Foley (labourer) and his wife Mary Nolan. His age at the time he was killed as given as 24 years, which fits with that record. He lived with his sister Mrs Mary Kenny of Colehill before enlisting in Dublin. He was killed in action aged 24 years and left the entirety of his estate to his sister. |
