Information: | Hedley was born Main St. Longford in on the 3 July 1890. He and his brother Edwin entered Campbell College, Belfast in 1904. Both brothers were medical students in Trinity College Dublin. Edwin was a casualty of the war. Hedley married Alice Fee in St. John's Church, Longford on the 16 May 1917. After WW1, Hedley returned to Longford and set up his dentistry practice on Main Street. In addition with his support of the Ex-servicemens Association and British Legion in Longford town, he helped found the Longford Rugby Club in 1921 and was its first treasurer.; he was also involved in the Longford Golf Club Dr Hedley Boyers died on in 1953 of natural causes. In October 1923, Hedley and Alice's youngest daughter, Beryl, celebrated her 100th birthday in South Africa. |
