| Information: | George was born in Ballyminion, just outside Longford town in 5 June, 1893, but the family to Kilpatrick, Dumbarton in Scotland in his youth*. Guardsman Harte enlisted for war service in Clydebank in Lanarkshire. He died of wounds as a result of the battle of Poelcapple, an action of the 3rd Battle of Ypres, (Passchendaele). His sister Elizabeth Williamson and brothers, Patrick and John, were his next-of-kin. |
