Information:

George Henry Kells was born 25 January 1891 in Tashinny, the youngest of seven children (Lillie, Martha, Mary Jane, Emily, Thomas and John James) to John Kells, a coachman. The family moved to Belfast when George was a child, after his father's death in 1896. By 1911, George Henry was working as a coachman himself. 

Pte Kells enlisted in Belfast, but passed away in the military hospital in Tipperary from double pneumonia and heart failure.
