Information:

Allen was born on in Richardstown/Augharickard on 20 September, 1892. Prior to the war he worked as a clerk. Alfred joined the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 10 February 1916 in Edmonton. Allen was promoted to Acting Corporal in 1916, but returned to the rank of Private at his own request in 1917. He was killed in action in France, (Rouen area), aged 24 years.
