Edward Joseph Morrissey was born c.1883* in Longford. In c.1907 he married his wife Kate Patton** and they lived in Burke's Yard and later Coach Yard, both off Main Street.

Pte Morrissey enlisted in Longford, but passed away at 3rd London General Hospital, Wandsworth, London.

Parents Names: Son of Mrs. Margaret Sheridan and step-son of Charles Sheridan, Dublin Street, Longford.
Notes: *Alternative year of birth was 1893, as per registration of death at Wandsworth **Her maiden name was either McGarry or Patton. Charles Sheridan was the Process Server/ Civil Bill Officer (Sheriff's bailiff) in Longford from c.1902.
