Marion was born on 20 December 1884 at Killenboy, Colehill. At the 1901 census she was staying with her Poynton cousins in Derryveigh, Kenagh. She immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1906 and graduated from The Mount Sinai Hospital School of Nursing in 1914. She was with the Army Nursing Corps (A.N.C.) from January 1918 to September 1919 and served overseas from February 1918 to August 1919 at: 'Base Hospital No.3' in Vauclaire, southern France; 'Evacuation Hospital No.9' and 'Evacuation Hospital No.49', both in Coblenz, Germany; and 'Camp Hospital No. 33', near Brest, France. She lived the rest of her life around New York and New Jersey, visited Longford quite a few times, and died on 22 February 1978. She is buried at Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood, Bergen County, New Jersey.
