Thomas was born c.1895 in the Cartronfree, Co. Cavan, close to Granard. He enlisted in Cavan and served as Thomas Reilly. He was aged 19 years when he died. 

Parents Names: Son of Matthew Fagan and Rose (née Brennan) of Cartronfree.
Notes: There is a discrepancy between the information given on Ancestry.co.uk and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website. The former gives his date of death as 4 February (under Reilly)*. The latter, under Fagan, gives his date of death as 4 December 1915. Both refer to the same man because the regimental number is the same.
