Information: | William Henry Moorhead was born at Crealaughta, Ballinamuck on 7 April 1882. He was educated at St Mary's Latin School, Moyne. He emigrated to Canada as a young man and studied for the Anglican ministry at Bishops' University, Lennoxville. He completed his formation in 1912. Rev. Moorhead served as a chaplain with the Canadian Field Artillery, 1916-18. He continued serving in Germany with Canadian occupying forces until 1919, after which he returned to parish ministry. He was consecrated as Bishop of Fredericton on 25 January 1939. He resigned in 1957 and died on 27 June 1962. |
