Information: John was born in June 1889. He married Agnes McHugh in 1913. He enlisted in 1917 having previously spent five years and three months in the Royal Irish Fusiliers.
Parents Names: Son of Rose Farrell, Chapel Lane, Longford (possible).
Notes: His Royal Irish Fusiliers number may have been 1029. This soldier had previous service with the 4th Battalion, Connaught Rangers and had been discharged from the British Army in November 1914.
