Information: Oliver was born in 1875 in Granard. He emigrated to Australia after 1911 and was working as a factory hand before war broke out, and was married to Elizabeth. Pte Strong enlisted in Sydney in July 1916, and served on the Western Front in France and Belgium from April 1917, and returned to Australia in August 1918.

Notes: Note: another Oliver Strong, also born in Ireland in 1875 emigrated to Australia with his family in 1879.
