Information:

John was born in Cornadouagh/Cornadowagh on or around 16 June 1895, although his date of birth is given as the 1 Oct 1895 and name is registered as John Brennon on his birth registration; not having an exact correlation between dates of birth is very common for Ireland in this period. 

John later emigrated to Canada, c.1914 and was working as a farmer in Sasketchewan prior to being drafted in May 1918. During WW1, Brennan served in England and France, and returned to Canada after demobilisation.

Parents Names: Son of Maria Mahedy (née Rhatigan) and the late Michael Brennan (d.1899).
Notes: John's mother Maria, married Michael Mahedy in 1900. At the time she had three young children, including John himself, his brother James and sister Bridget. By 1911 he had 5 half-siblings, including: Michael, Ellen, Maggie, Eliza and Mary. John later married Ruth Smith in Elbow, Saskatchewan, and he passed away in 1974.
