Information: | Patrick was born around the 28 August 1888, likely near Abbeylara. He enlisted for war service in late 1914 and entered the war in January 1915 at the Western Front and was injured, but had largely recovered by September 1915 - his experiences are detailed in a short interview with the Longford Leader that month. Patrick was a first cousin of Robert Molloy of the Irish Guards who was killed in action and John George Molloy also of the King's Royal Rilfles. |
