Miss. E.F. Green was a friend of the Bond family of Farragh, Killoe, whose son Brian served with the 5th Connaught Rangers during WW1 and daughter Mary Hunter was an active member of the V.A.D. She was was a guest at Mary's wedding to Richard Gethin in 1927.

It is likely that she is Ellen or Eleanor Frances Green, originally from Co. Westmeath, but was lived with William Bond and his family at Newtownbond from at least 1901 onwards.

Green initially worked in the Red Cross Central Work Room, carrying out knitting and sewing duties between 1916 and 1919.
