Information:	It is believed that Joseph was born in Co. Longford in c.1881 and stated he was 35 years of age on enlistment for WW1 service. Joseph enlisted with the U.S. National Guard at Waterbury on the 21 June 1916. He was discharged from the National Guard on the 28 April 1917, and may have enlisted with the Army proper then.
