Information: | Edith was born in Co. Longford c. 13 February 1890, later emigrating to New York City. She was called into active service as a nurse on the 5 June 1918, initially being posted to General Hospital No. 17 in Markleton Pennsylvania*, before being deployed overseas on the 10 November 1918 where she served initially at to Base Hospital 114 to April 1919 before transferring to BH21 and then returning back to the US. Edith was formally discharged shortly before Christmas 1919. |
