Information: | Muriel was born Elizabeth Muriel Doyle on the 6 July 1893 in Ballinascraw, the eldest child of John and Lizzie Doyle. She joined the V.A.D. in October 1916 as an assistant nurse and retained that rank throughout the duration of her service until 1919. Muriel's sister Kathleen also served as a nurse during WW1. |
